The Gralon Rhys 5K - Race for Hope was established in memory of Gralon Rhys Kimble. It is a chip timed 5K & Family Mile Fun Run for all ages. It takes place on the first Saturday of November every year. The GR5K partners with Hope Family Orphanage in Nepal, Iglesias del Norte in Costa Rica, the Hatikva Project in Israel, and the Passion Center for Children in Malawi. 100% of the proceeds go to these organizations ministering both physically and spiritually to children with great need. Join us at Shawnee Mission Park on November 4th (or virtually from wherever you are) and take part in bringing true hope, love and physical help to orphaned and refugee children across the world. NOTE: Online registration will close at NOON the Friday before the race. You may register the day of the race, however race shirts are not guaranteed. Only a limited number will be available the day of the race, register early to guarantee you receive a shirt!
The Virtual Race
Unable to join us on Nov. 4th in Shawnee, KS? No problem! Join us virtually from the comfort of your home or favorite local outdoor location, and run (or walk) your own Gralon Rhys 5K. LEAVES FOR LOVED ONES
"Leaves for Loved Ones" is a way for us memorialize our loved ones by adding their name to the back of the race shirt. The cost for this is $100 and includes a T-Shirt. Orders must be received by 10/22/2023. This can be added to your race registration.
