Kidtown Ministry Update for MBT Families:

Who would have thought that we would be without in-person children’s ministry for as long as we have?  This season of physical separation has been tough for our kids, teachers and parents.  We have missed getting to see the children on a regular basis.  Although our team has adapted to use resources like posting videos and Zoom classes, we prefer to be together face-to-face.  Recently we have been making plans to return to the church building.  Our oldest class has begun to meet in-person on Sunday mornings, and some other classes will be returning soon.  We will be working from oldest to youngest, and will be giving updates in the Sunday service announcements, and via the weekly church email post as to which classes are reconvening when.  Locations and times may change intermittently due to available spaces in the building.  The classes will continue to Zoom their content, and/or post videos as we transition all kids back.  Please check the MBT website and Kidtown Facebook page weekly for new content.  Classroom teachers will also be sending links to their teaching material.  We look to the CDC and local authorities for their recommendations on safety and sanitation practices.  As much as we want to be perfect, we cannot guarantee a completely sterile environment.  Children are inherently less aware of their need to self-monitor their cleanliness.  Our teachers do their best to supervise behavior, but cannot catch 100%, especially with our littlest people who love to learn by tasting things.  As classes open up we invite kids to come back, but also understand if not all families can return immediately. Please don’t feel any pressure to come back before you are ready.  We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide your personal decision.  Our digital resources will continue to be available until such time as the health risk is mitigated.  Children 11 years old and under are not required to wear masks, but may do so if this is best for their family.  There will be some level of temperature scanning and screening questions before entering a classroom.  We hope the Kidtown-at-Home lessons have been a blessing to your family, and your awareness of your child’s spiritual state has deepened.  It is exciting for us to get back to the ministry to which the Lord has called us.  Love you all!
