John: Knowing Jesus-week 20: Into Samaria
This passage of scripture introduces the passage through Samaria that Jesus and his disciples took as they moved from Judea to Galilee. Samaria was despised, but there was a deeper history and purpose manifested by the history of the land itself. Our lives may at times look like that described in this passage. We too need to remember God is at work, even if we find ourselves in a despicable place.
