The doctrine of transubstantiation says that the blood and body of Christ are literally consumed after a priest says the right words, converting the bread and wine to flesh and blood as the Catholic church performs the Eucharist (communion/Lord's supper). This doctrine is founded in John 6. This message introduces our method of studying the Bible as we begin to look at this doctrine.
