I think the recording ended before I shared another important principle at the very end, after at the question answer session:
We're not their servant, we're their mothers.... but they need to see us serving their fathers... serving in ministry, etc, and sometimes they do need us to have servant/helping hearts towards them.
For example , one of the girls' responsibilities is making breakfast bars to keep stocked in the fridge. This evening was full, though, with them finishing homework and Ainslee driving both of them to their drum lesson. They were going to tackle it when they got home. But I decided to make them for the girls while they were out.... it means so much more to the girls this way...... I hope that doesn't sound like me tooting my own horn. Just seemed like a good practical example.
