There are many obstacles to life, including danger, demons, disease and ultimately, death. Jesus demonstrates His authority over each of these four areas to give empirical evidence to eyewitnesses of His divine nature.

Amalek attacks the Children of Israel and they respond in battle; battle which is one first spiritually and then by not being weary.

Jesus is dealing with the pharisees who are attacking him, and he teaches a simple lesson that who/what someone is identified with, is whose he is.
