Absalom finally goes before the king, but things are far from resolved and far from being over.

Although Absalom safely returned to Jerusalem, things between him and his father were far from over.

Without the Lord we are prone to wander into a desolate life. Because of this we need to consistently exercise our hearts and minds by reminding ourselves and each other of God's goodness so we don't find ourselves reliant on things in life that caused us to lose our way.
