The call to consecration before commitment

This is a continuation of The Blessing Part 1 preached in Life Fellowship on July 21, 2024. This week examines the phrases “keep thee”, “make His face shine upon thee,” and “be gracious unto thee.”

The nation of Israel has rebelled against the Lord in creating and worshipping the golden calf. Moses intercedes for the people, invoking God's mercy and requesting to see God's glory. God reveals himself as merciful, gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

The scene in 2 Sam 11 and the first half of the chapter 12 has been heavy and dark. But in the second half of chapter 12, the grace of God is on vivid display!
